What kind of digital signage does Bluefin produce?
Bluefin creates LCD digital signage for retail and commercial settings, corporate communications, hospitality, and more. Our digital signage displays can be customized with various sizes, housing options, and integrated media players and operating systems to fit project-based needs.
What customization is available on LCD screens?
Bluefin can customize the shape, color, and mounting points of the display housing across our range of LCDs, PCB modifications such as LED connections or relocating I/O ports, and much more. Bluefin can source LCD sizes or customize the height of ultrawide displays on quantity orders.
Does Bluefin own their manufacturing facilities?
Yes! We fully own and operate our manufacturing facility in Shenzhen.
Does Bluefin manufacture LCD panels?
No. We work with the world’s top LCD manufacturers to reliably source panels with an emphasis on performance and longevity, and our relationships allow us to develop digital signage at custom sizes for special orders.
How does Bluefin integrate media players like BrightSign and Seneca?
We manufacture our own printed circuit-boards to interface between media players and LCD screens. This control and flexibility allows us to rapidly develop across many LCD options and include extra features.
Where is Bluefin located?
Bluefin’s sales, support, and US is headquartered in Cumming, Georgia, USA— just north of Atlanta. Our manufacturing center is based in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China.

What screen sizes does Bluefin produce?
We specialize in HD and UHD screen sizes between 7.0’’ and 55.0’’, as well as a range of ultrawide, shelf-edge and bar LCDs.
Do all Bluefin Screens come with a player built-in?
Bluefin produces both screens with built-in players, and screens with HDMI or Displayport input for external devices.
Do all Bluefin screens require a micro-SD card?
BrightSign Built-In screens require a micro-SD card at all times. Android, Linux, and Windows based screens include internal storage and do not require a micro-SD card. V Series screens require a micro-SD card for looping video without an external device.
What kind of touch screens do you use, and do they support gestures like ‘pinch’ and ‘zoom’?
Bluefin screens may optionally have 10-point projective capacitive (PCAP) touch screens with gesture support.
Can I still use a screen with a built-in player to display from an HDMI signal?
HDMI override is available on our Flex-OS platform. Flex-OS screens will default to the embedded player, but if an HDMI cable is installed with a live signal the screen will automatically switch inputs. For touch screens, a mini-USB connector is included to connect the touch screen to an external device.
Do all Bluefin screens come with power over ethernet?
Power over ethernet is optional on screens between 10.1’’ and 21.5’’. Depending on the size, this specification may require PoE+ (802.3at) or PoE++ (802.3bt).
Does Bluefin make outdoor displays?
Yes! Bluefin has developed IP55 rated high-bright outdoor displays in three sizes:
13.3’’ with touch and PoE
21.5’’ with touch and PoE++
55.0’’
Does Bluefin make mounting equipment for screens?
We do not manufacture mounting equipment, and we are limited in our ability to consult on mounting equipment. Nearly all Bluefin screens include a standard VESA pattern to be compatible with a wide range of commercial mounting hardware. Bluefin can also customize the mounting points or flanges to better suit your integration needs.
Can Bluefin housing styles be replaced after purchase?
Housings cannot be replaced with different styles (Finished, Frameless, Countertop, etc) after purchase.
Can Wi-Fi be installed after market?
Wi-Fi modules can be installed after market on most displays, but you may have difficulty installing Wi-Fi on screens smaller than 13.3’’ due to a lack of space. We recommend ordering Wi-Fi during production for your convenience.
